Blue Hues by the Lake
This lake house was lacking character, so we added visual interest and created a space perfect for entertaining. The client had a large sliding door in the living room that we replaced with a new custom door matched to the exterior windows and doors. We added drapery around the sliding door to make the space cozier. A bright blue area rug now picks up on the colours of the lake during the day and a live-edge walnut table with brass ties holding the slabs together brings a rustic elegance to the space.
In the kitchen, we made significant repairs to the existing floor, fixing holes and adding new matching flooring in areas where it was missing. Our clients wanted to limit the amount of wall cabinets, so floating shelving were added for decorations and everyday items. To accommodate this, we added floor-to-ceiling storage around the steam oven and counter-depth fridge.
We also added a beverage station with a second apron-front bar sink so that guests can help themselves to drinks in an area away from meal prep. The two-tone cabinets above the beverage station are perfect for storing the coffee maker, blender and other beverage tools.

From start to finish, the renovation was well managed. The quality of the products is excellent and we are beyond pleased with the finished product. The new kitchen design is a pleasure to cook in.
