2014
CASSANDRA NORDELL-MACLEAN SELECTED AS 2014 30 UNDER 30 AWARD RECIPIENT BY THE NATIONAL KITCHEN & BATH ASSOCIATION
NKBA 30 Under 30 to be featured at KBIS this February in Las Vegas.
Sarnia, ON, Jan. 8, 2014 — Local designer and entrepreneur Cassandra Nordell-Maclean has been selected as one of the 30 Under 30 recipients by The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) for the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show 2014 (KBIS®), to be held February 4-6 in Las Vegas.
“We are excited to present our 30 Under 30 young professionals at KBIS 2014 for the second year in a row,” says Nancy Barnes, NKBA Director of Learning. “The program launch in 2013 was a huge success with the group, which included enthusiastic entrepreneurs, forward-thinking CEOs, and cutting-edge designers who are all still in their 20s.”
The goal of the NKBA 30 Under 30 Program is to acknowledge outstanding young professionals, while helping these individuals to immerse and apply themselves to new opportunities for growth and development in support of the industry.
Nordell-MacLean is the co-founder of two Sarnia businesses: Nordell Design/Build and William Standen Co.™, launched in 2006 and 2010, respectively. This year, at 29, she proudly stood amongst the relatively small group of female CEOs honoured by PROFIT Magazine for running the country’s top new growth companies. She has also been recognized locally for entrepreneurship and business leadership.
“I believe that good design can change the way people live,” asserts Nordell-MacLean. She looks forward to the opportunity to network with other industry professionals, to share knowledge and spark new ideas. “It’s a tremendous honour to be chosen to represent the next generation of kitchen and bath professionals,” she says.
On Thursday, February 6, 2014, the group of 30 young professionals will present their findings on a variety of critical kitchen and bath industry topics on the Las Vegas show floor in a featured speaker presentation for KBIS 2014 Conference attendees. They will share the results of their explorations and answer questions from the audience.
