The homeowner of this downtown Detroit condo wanted to maximize the stunning river view while upgrading the interior. The existing kitchen was dark, dated and isolated from the dining and living areas, offering no connection or view to the Detroit River. Our design plan opened up the space by removing the wall between the kitchen and dining area, enlarging the kitchen, and seamlessly incorporating the dining table into the kitchen island for a more streamlined, elegant look. The design also included deep blue and copper accents to ground the space with a touch of glam that perfectly matched the homeowner’s charismatic personality.

The redesigned kitchen now offers a 70% increase in cabinet storage and a 65% increase in countertop space, providing ample room for cooking and entertaining. The new open layout allows the homeowner to enjoy the view of the Detroit River while engaging with family and guests in the living and dining areas. The kitchen is now both functional and stylish, with a modern, glamorous feel that complements the stunning riverfront setting.
